Stove Ash Soil
Also known as: Yellow Soil from the Stove, Earth Beneath the Pot, Stove Center Earth.
Nature and Taste: Pungent and warm.
Medicinal Part: The core soil block from the stove bottom, long exposed to burning wood and grass.

Stove ash soil appears irregularly shaped, brownish-red, and varies in size. It is porous, slightly smoky-smelling, with a bland taste. The preferred quality is large, soft, and dark red. When mixed with acid, it partially dissolves and releases bubbles. The dissolved solution turns blue-green with potassium ferrocyanide and forms a blue precipitate.
Usage Instructions
Internal Use: Decoction, 15-30g; wrapped in cloth, boiled, strained as a water substitute 60-120g; also in powder form.
External Use: Grind into powder, apply directly.
Preparation: Harvest the hardened soil blocks during stove renovations, scrape away blackened and impure outer layers.

Treats: Vomiting, reflux, abdominal pain, diarrhea, various types of bleeding, pregnancy complications, ulcerative sores.
Cautions

Remedies
- For acid reflux: old stove soil, fine powder, mix with rice drink.
- For heart pain: dragon liver powder, cook in water, use warm.
- Bleeding relief: stove soil, cook with water, consume with white porridge.
- Nosebleed: dragon liver mixed with fresh water and honey.
- Postnatal complications: center stove soil, drink with wine.
- To protect pregnancy from heat: dragon liver mixed with well-bottom clay.
