Characteristics and Usage

Flavor and Nature: Sweet and slightly pungent, with a balanced nature.

Channels Entered: Liver, stomach, lung.

Part Used: The whole plant of Veronica peregrina L., including parts affected by insects.

Appearance: It has thin, curly roots, and its stems and seed pods can take on a brownish or purplish hue.

How to Use Xiantao Grass

Internal Use: Decoction of 10-30g; powdered form; or pressed juice.

External Use: Use fresh and apply directly or boil in water for washes.

Preparation: Wash and clean the herb before drying and cutting it into sections.

Benefits and Applications

Effects: Helps to reduce bruising, stop bleeding, relieve swelling, and alleviate pain.

Common Uses: Suitable for treating bruises, sore throats, abscesses, coughing blood, various types of bleeding, liver and stomach pain, hernia, and menstrual pain.

Herb Combinations

2. For chronic bleeding: Combine 15g of Xiantao Grass with 60g of Gua Zi Jin, boil in water, and drink. (Reference from "Hunan Materia Medica")
