Sheng Hua Tang: Vital Energy and Blood Circulation Postpartum

Sheng Hua Tang

Sheng Hua Tang is a traditional remedy prescribed postpartum. Comprising ingredients like Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Tao Ren, and Pao Jiang, it's chiefly celebrated for its role in promoting blood circulation, easing pain, and warming the system to support recovery.

Sheng Hua Tang - Traditional Postpartum Remedy

The formula targets symptoms stemming from postpartum blood deficiency and cold-induced blood stasis. After childbirth, women may experience weakened energy and blood inadequacy, making them susceptible to the intrusion of cold, which can lead to stagnation of blood manifested as discomfort and cold pain in the lower abdomen. Thus, activating and nourishing the blood, alongside warming to alleviate pain, is the recommended approach.

Sheng Hua Tang employs Dang Gui extensively to nourish and activate blood, assisting in pain relief, acting as the primary constituent. Chuan Xiong aids in invigorating blood flow and energy movement, while Tao Ren eliminates blood stasis. With Pao Jiang, warmth and pain alleviation are promoted, complemented by yellow wine to enhance circulation. Zhi Gan Cao harmonizes the formula.
