Huanglian Ejiao Decoction (ι»θΏιΏθΆζ±€)
Formula Explanation: This formula combines Huanglian (Coptis) for clearing heart fire, Ejiao (donkey-hide gelatin) to replenish kidney yin, and Huangqin (Scutellaria) which enhances the fire-clearing effects of Huanglian. Shaoyao (Peony) supports Ejiao in strengthening water (yin energy). The addition of fresh egg yolks nourishes kidney yin, enriches heart blood, and calms the mind. Together, these ingredients balance kidney water and heart fire, promoting harmony and eliminating symptoms like restlessness and insomnia.
