Wutou Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicinal formula specifically crafted to alleviate pain caused by conditions like Beriberi, including discomfort and limited joint flexibility. Ingredients and Preparation
- Ephedra (Mahuang): 9g
- Peony Root (Shaoyao): 9g
- Astragalus Root (Huangqi): 9g
- Licorice Root (Gancao, honey-fried): 9g
- Sichuan Aconite Root (Chuanwu): 6g
Preparation: Grind the first four ingredients into coarse powder. Separately boil Sichuan aconite in 400ml of honey until it reduces to 200ml. Combine and boil all ingredients with 600ml of water until further reduced to 200ml. Strain and consume 140ml while warm. If symptoms persist, the remainder may be consumed in full.
