Secure the Foundation and Stop Excessive Bleeding Soup
How to Use and Dosage Instructions
Ingredients: 1 ounce of prepared Rehmannia (steamed nine times), 1 ounce of Atractylodes (dry-fried until dark brown), 0.3 ounces of raw Astragalus, 0.5 ounces of Angelica (washed in wine), 0.2 ounces of Black Ginger, 0.3 ounces of Ginseng.
Instructions: Boil the ingredients in water and consume as a decoction.
Effects and Indications
Indications: This soup is used to treat women experiencing light-headedness and fainting due to blood loss and internal heat having depleted their vital energy.
Contraindications
Do not use this formula if there has been severe blood loss over several days and pulse is extremely weak. This could mean the body cannot handle a strong tonic. In stronger individuals, brew 0.3 ounces of Siberian Ginseng and consume with 0.1 ounces of charcoal powder from Actinidia and then proceed with the main formula. For those weaker, sip 3 ounces of wine with 0.3 ounces of the charcoal powder until clarity returns, then start the formula, replacing Ginseng with Codonopsis. Continue to add charcoal powder when consuming the tonic.
